PROGRAM: What to Expect
Your host teacher will meet you at the airport and welcome you into your new home. From the moment you arrive, the focus is on comfort and connection, to ensure confidence and create a supportive environment where learning can happen naturally.
Your program is customized to your goals and learning style. Your host teacher designs each lesson and activity to match your pace, interests, and objectives, ensuring the experience is uniquely yours.
As the only student in the home, you benefit from your teacher’s complete attention and constant, personalized feedback.
From Monday through Friday, you’ll have:
• 3 hours of focused instruction daily
• 15 hours per week of interactive, real-world activities such as walking tours, market visits, or gatherings, all conducted entirely in the target language.
This total immersion can be both invigorating and challenging. It pushes you beyond your comfort zone, building fluency, confidence, and independence.
This continuous, real-world engagement is widely recognized as the most powerful and lasting way to learn a language, transforming not only how you speak but how you think.
Four to six weeks is the sweet spot for an international student doing the Power Immersion™ English Program, and here’s why.
The Four-to-Six Week Difference:
What Makes Power Immersion Prep Work
The Brain Needs Time to Rewire
Language acquisition is not instant. It’s neurological. In the first week, a student is typically in “shock mode,” adapting to new sounds, routines, and environments. By week two, comprehension accelerates. By week three, the brain starts rewiring for new language patterns. By week four, confidence and spontaneous speech begin to emerge. That’s when you see the “switch flip,” the point at which they start thinking in English.
Cultural Comfort Drives Linguistic Confidence
The program isn’t just about grammar and vocabulary. It’s about cultural immersion. It takes roughly three weeks for a student to feel comfortable enough in a new culture to engage authentically at meals, on outings, and in daily conversation. Once that happens, the learning curve skyrockets. Any shorter, and they’re still in acclimation mode.
Proven Measurable Progress
Language Liaison’s Power Immersion data consistently show that students can advance one full CEFR level (for example, A1 to A2) in four weeks when engaged in total immersion (15 hours instruction + 15 hours activities per week). That’s equivalent to three to six months of classroom learning compressed into one immersive cycle.
Balance and Retention
Four weeks creates a defined, achievable goal that’s long enough to achieve visible progress and short enough to maintain intensity and focus. It’s the perfect duration for high accountability, measurable improvement, and sustained motivation without burnout.
Practicality for Schools and Parents
Logistically, four to six weeks fits neatly into the academic calendar. It allows international students to complete immersion before the prep school term begins, ensuring they enter ready, acclimated, and linguistically confident without disrupting family or travel plans.

Bottom line:
A four-week English Power Immersion Prep™ is the minimum threshold for real transformation: linguistic, cultural, and psychological. Anything less is an introduction; four weeks is ignition.
